As announced on 5 December 2025, the commander of the Patrouille des Glaciers, Brigadier General Yves Charrière, has decided to reopen registration for 99 patrols until midnight on 30 December 2025. He wants to give those who were unable to form their patrol in time the opportunity to register. We wish you all the best with your preparations and look forward to seeing you at the start line in April 2026!
The Patrouille des Glaciers is run by patrol of three participants with two starts. One from Zermatt (Z1 & Z2) and the other from Arolla (A1 & A2).
Race Z goes from Zermatt to Verbier via Arolla.

Scheduled race days are Tuesday and Wednesday (Z1 & A1) as well as Friday and Saturday (Z2 & A2). Depending on weather or snow conditions, races may be interrupted, postponed, brought forward or cancelled.
Patrols registering in category P1 must upload copies of their service record book or any other document certifying the military status of patrol members (see Art. 8 of the regulations). Patrol leaders registering in category P3 must upload a copy of their UIAGM card or license during the registration process.

1. I read carefully the Patrouille des Glaciers 2026 rules. This is an obligatory step !
2. I have or create an MSO account to complete my registration. I can create on by clicking here. If my teammates already have an MSO account, I can select them from my profile. Otherwise, I can create an account for them during the registration process.
3. I gather all the necessary information (race, category, patroller data, supporting documents, etc.) to register each member of the patrol, in accordance with appendix 1 of the Patrouille des Glaciers 2026 regulations.
4. I register on the registration platform by filling in all the information requested in the questionnary. This information will be sent to the Cdmt of the PdG for verification. He may contact you to ask you for additional information.
5. I complete the registration process by paying, using one of the payment methods available.
6. Once the payment has been made, I check (including my spam) if I have received the email confirmation of my order.
7. Depending on the category chosen, a possible draw will take place at the end of November 2025. The cdmt of the PdG will keep you informed.

Reading the rules is an important and obligatory step. Changes and adaptations have been made. In order for you to be able to register and participate in the race with peace of mind, it is obligatory to read the rules and its appendices
The PdG applies the current Swiss Olympic anti-doping regulations and the applicable enforcement provisions adopted by Swiss Sport Integrity. Anti-doping tests will be carried out and participants who do not comply with the rules will be disqualified.
